How comparing personal accident insurance works here
Tell us your age, the kind of work you do and how much cover you want. We price plans from each insurer on our panel and list them from the lowest premium up.
When you pick a plan, you finish buying on the insurer's own site, with your answers already filled in.
Before you choose
- The sum insured is the lump sum paid for accidental death or permanent disability. Many people choose a few years of income.
- Medical expenses after an accident are paid up to a separate, smaller limit. Check whether TCM and physiotherapy are included.
- Your occupation class sets the price. Tell the insurer if your job changes, or a claim may be reduced.
Questions people ask
Why does my job matter?
Insurers group jobs into four occupation classes by accident risk. Office work is class 1; heavy manual work is class 4, which most insurers do not cover online.
Is this the same as health insurance?
No. Personal accident pays for accidents only. Hospital bills from illness need a health plan such as an Integrated Shield Plan.
Am I covered overseas?
Yes. All plans shown here cover you worldwide, 24 hours a day.
